Angry Chelsea fans first staged a protest at Wembley for the FA Cup final.<\/p>\n
Supporter group Not A Project CFC plans to peacefully march down Wembley Way ahead of Saturday’s high-profile final against Manchester City. This is the first time ever, as no fans have ever protested against the club’s ownership even after reaching the FA Cup final.<\/p>\n
But it shows the level of disillusionment and unhappiness with the club’s BlueCo owners Behada Egbali and Todd Boley. They are expecting thousands of people to cheer them on and will turn their backs on them in the 22nd minute of next week’s Premier League game against Tottenham, which will mark the current owner’s takeover in 2022.<\/p>\n
David Cook, 34, one of the group’s main organizers and a lifelong Chelsea fan, said: “Walking down Wembley Way is so symbolic and this will be the first time we’ve ever done it. Last time we organized something completely different to march with the Strasbourg fans before the Manchester United game and we wanted to do something different again.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it may seem strange to some supporters, reaching the FA Cup final is a sign of success, but this is about the way the club is run. This is our club, we are passionate and we support the team. We want to make a big impact visually so that potential BlueCo investors understand what’s going on.<\/p>\n
Chelsea fans have expressed their anger at the owner during recent matches, blaming Egbali and Boley. This is because they believe they are running it as an investment rather than a football club. Blues supporters have enjoyed huge success over the past year under Roman Abramovich, who has also invested in the local community and academy, as well as gaining support from the fans.<\/p>\n
After winning the Club World Cup, the European Conference League and reaching the Champions League, they have been heading towards middling mediocrity this season and will face favorites City on Saturday. Cook added: “We have lost faith in ownership. The appointment of managers, the poor treatment of academy graduates, trading them as assets while selling parts of the club to themselves – this is all wrong.”<\/p>\n

“This is a project for them. That is a protest. We have always produced our own young players and promoted them. Now we are selling them. We need stability. We have had two great managers. Mauricio Pochettino is very They did well and then Enzo Maresca did very well as well. But they got to a stage where they questioned the ownership and suddenly Liam Rosenior came in. Who will take it now?<\/p>\n
“My fear is that when Chelsea won the Club World Cup, the owners and sporting directors saw it as vindication. Previously, we would have seen it as a stepping stone. This club is used to winning Premier League titles and European Cups.”<\/p>\n
“Right now it’s all about the business plan and the release of players. Of the players we signed last summer, Jo\u00e3o Pedro is probably the only quality player. If we want to move forward as a club, we need to sell BlueCo.”<\/p>\n
The group will meet at Wembley Park Tube station from 1.30pm on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Chelsea co-owner Egbali recently admitted his mistake but insisted he was determined to move the club forward.<\/p>\n
He said, “I think we did some things right. We got a lot of things right. We need to improve in some ways to add more ready-made players in this part of the project, take[the project]to the next level and be consistent over the long term. We recognize that there needs to be a balance. Tweak the model, improve and learn from our mistakes.”<\/p>\n
