Andre Onana spent last season on loan at Turkish side Trabzonspor, but as things stand, he is expected to return to Manchester United next season.<\/h2>\n

Manchester United have no plans to bring back Andre Onana after his loan spell with Trabzonspor. The Cameroonian goalkeeper spent last season on loan with the Turkish team after a difficult few seasons at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
After Onana’s big-money move from Inter Milan, which saw many high-profile players released, United opted to move him on and sign Senne Lamence as his replacement.<\/p>\n
Onana’s loan to Trabzonspor expires in the coming weeks, but he has reportedly already expressed a desire to return to Old Trafford and compete for a permanent place. However, those hopes are likely to be dashed by the Red Devils, who are looking to prepare their team for next season.<\/p>\n
According to ESPN, there are no plans to add the 30-year-old to the club’s squad and work has already begun to find a candidate. However, one obstacle to easing the burden on goalkeepers is that their wages are expected to rise this summer after United have qualified for next season’s Champions League.<\/p>\n

Trabzonspor have regularly spoken out about the possibility of re-signing Onana, claiming that the Red Devils’ financial demands would likely be prohibitive if the move were to become permanent.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe acquisition of Andre Onana from Manchester United is in the range of 45-50 million euros, so our president honestly reported to the community in line with the realities of Trabzonspor,\u201d Trabzonspor vice-president Zeiyat Kavkas told Gnebaksh earlier this year.<\/p>\n
“I don’t think this information has affected Onana at all because he wants to continue working for a club in Europe, even if it’s not in England.”<\/p>\n

“His family thinks the same way. The president also wanted to explain the reality of Trabzonspor. But when the situation changes, the situation changes.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Do\u011fan suggested that only Onana will ultimately decide his future.<\/p>\n
In an interview with NTV Spor, he said: “Onana’s career is already established. We like him. As I said before, he has certain plans for his career. If the conditions are right, we want him to stay. The final decision will be Onana’s.”<\/p>\n
Onana has made 32 appearances for Trabzonspor this season, keeping six clean sheets. He may not be the only goalkeeper to bid farewell to the club this season. Back-up stopper Altai Baindir, who has fallen out of favor since Lamence’s arrival, could also be sold.<\/p>\n
