If all goes well, Arsenal could be crowned Premier League champions within a week. The Gunners are two points clear of nearest rivals Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s side playing their game at the moment.<\/p>\n
City beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. Antoine Semenyo scored with a spectacular backheel from Phil Foden, giving his side the lead.<\/p>\n
Omar Marmouche doubled City’s advantage with his third Premier League goal of the season. Sabinho then wrapped things up in the closing stages.<\/p>\n
City’s victory moves them two points clear of Mikel Arteta’s side and could extend their wait for a Premier League title to 20 years in the coming days. Arsenal next face relegated Burnley on Monday night, before facing Crystal Palace on the final day.<\/p>\n

Simply put, if Arsenal win these two games, they will be crowned champions. However, there may be a few more twists and turns before that happens.<\/p>\n
If the north London side beat Burnley, their advantage would increase to five points. City will have to wait until next Tuesday for a response, as they play their final FA Cup game against Chelsea this weekend.<\/p>\n
City’s next Premier League game is against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday. If Arsenal beat Burnley, City will need to beat the Cherries to remain in the title race. Otherwise, Mikel Arteta’s side will be formally crowned champions ahead of the final day.<\/p>\n
But if Arsenal fail to secure a win against Burnley, the door to City will be ajar. If the Gunners draw with the Clarets at the Emirates, the title race will be guaranteed to progress to the final day.<\/p>\n

Depending on the result against Bournemouth, City could end up level on points with the Gunners on either two or three points. This means that the team that wins on goal difference will need to do as well or better than their rival on the final day to win another title.<\/p>\n
If Arsenal conspire to lose against Burnley, City could go into the final day with a win against Bournemouth. If Josep Guardiola’s team wins against Aston Villa on the final day, they will secure the title.<\/p>\n
If Arsenal also draw or lose against Crystal Palace on the final day, City could even have a shot at winning the title even with a draw or loss on the final day.<\/p>\n
However, City’s hopes rest entirely on Arsenal’s actions. If the north London side win each of their final two games, they will be guaranteed the title. If Arsenal drop points, City will need to win each of their remaining two games to clinch the title.<\/p>\n
Still, there are situations where the title could be decided on goal difference if Arsenal have won two points less than City in their last two games. It all depends on how important their last two wins are.<\/p>\n
