Manager Hansi Flick will take charge of Barcelona in El Clasico on Sunday night, despite his father’s death being announced on the day of the match.<\/p>\n

A statement shared by the Spanish champion confirmed the passing of his 61-year-old father. “FC Barcelona and the entire Blaugrana family would like to send all their love to Hansi Flick following the passing of his father,” the statement read.<\/p>\n

“We share your grief and our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.”<\/p>\n

Flick will be in the dugout for the game against Real Madrid, where both clubs will wear black armbands to pay tribute to his father. There will also be a minute’s silence before the match.<\/p>\n

Bar\u00e7a’s rivals expressed their condolences to Flick in a statement: “Real Madrid, the president and the board deeply regret the death of Hansi Flick’s father.<\/p>\n

“Real Madrid would like to express its condolences to all their families and loved ones. May they rest in peace.”<\/p>\n

Barcelona will win their second consecutive La Liga title with a win or a draw against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.<\/p>\n

Flick has won four trophies with Barca since being chosen by the Spanish giants to succeed Xavi in \u200b\u200bthe summer of 2024.<\/p>\n
