MANCHESTER, England (AP) \u2014 Manchester City star Yoshko Gvardiol has returned to training after four months out with an injury. broken leg<\/span>Josep Guardiola said on Friday that he hopes the defender is ready to “make a good World Cup” for Croatia.<\/p>\n

Gvardiol fractured his right foot during the 1-1 Premier League draw with Chelsea on January 4 and underwent surgery.<\/p>\n

Doubts remained over Gvardiol’s availability world cup<\/span> Matches start on June 11, but Guardiola said the versatile defender was “feeling good” after he was spotted taking part in a training session on Thursday.<\/p>\n

“He was an important player for us last season when we had a lot of injuries. He played every game and eventually his body said enough is enough,” Guardiola said. “We’re happy to have him back. He helped us at the end of the season and we hope he did well at the World Cup with Croatia and we wish him the best next season.”<\/p>\n

City face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday and Guardiola said Rodri could return after missing the last three games, including a costly one, with a hamstring injury. 3-3 draw with Everton<\/span> on monday.<\/p>\n

This leaves them with a five-point difference between second-place City and Arsenal, with games remaining. Arsenal have regained pole position in the title race with three games remaining.<\/p>\n

City will also face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 16th.<\/p>\n
