MUNICH (AP) – Canada’s left-back Alphonso Davies has injured his hamstring, with more than a month left until the tournament is co-hosted by his country. world cup<\/span>Bayern Munich announced on Friday.<\/p>\n

The club said team doctors expect Davis to be out for “several weeks” before Canada’s World Cup match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto on June 12.<\/p>\n

Bayern announced that Davies injured his left hamstring during Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain, which eliminated the German team from the Champions League semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Davis, 25, is one of Canada’s top players, scoring 15 goals in 58 games. He helped Bayern to seven Bundesliga titles and the 2020 Champions League title.<\/p>\n

Bayern, who have already won the German league championship, will end their season with the German Cup final against Stuttgart on May 23.<\/p>\n
