Wolf star Nelson Semed appears to be leaving the club this summer after his contract expires. Manager Viter Pereira says the former Barcelona defender told him “want to find another challenge.”<\/p>\n
Manchester United is one of the clubs linked to Cemedo’s moves, with the 31-year-old having a strong relationship with club captain Bruno Fernandez. The pair are international teammates with Portugal and Fernandez, and have recently been called Semdo and his “partner in crime.”<\/p>\n
After Portugal won the Nations League in June and defeated Spain 5-3 in a penalty in the final, Cemedo celebrated his victory on Instagram, with Fernandez celebrating “my crime partner” and sharing a series of snaps.<\/p>\n
Semedo’s contract with Olves expired last month and he was offered a new deal, but his future appears to be somewhere else. “The relationship I have with Nelson was very honest from the start,” Pereira told Express and Starr.<\/p>\n
“He said that five years later I found another challenge and was in the time of understanding. But I need to feel that he is honest with me. I want to know the truth from the start.<\/p>\n

“Then, they’re waiting, they’re waiting, they’re waiting, they can’t wait. I really like Nelson, so there’s a lot of respect in the club and they offered him a very good deal.<\/p>\n
“But at the end of the day, we need to look for the club. We need to look for the future. This is the time to find a good solution.”<\/p>\n
Semedo will become the newest key player to leave the club this summer after Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri set off. Cunha joined Manchester United for \u00a362.5 million, while Ait-Nouri signed Manchester City on a \u00a331 million deal.<\/p>\n
They only had two new signatures, with Winger Vellopez taking part, and striker Jorgen Strandlersen’s loan agreement became permanent, with Pereira highlighting the need for more new faces.<\/p>\n

“I know myself. At the end of the market, I may not be happy or disappointed,” he told Express and Starr. “I’m not, because I believe they work hard to give us (players). We can’t do miracles and we need players.<\/p>\n
“We need to compete with Arsenal’s Manchester City. This is our league. We don’t compete with only clubs that come from the championship. Even with these clubs, they spend a lot of money. They invest a lot of money.<\/p>\n
“At the end of the game, we want players who know they can’t control the outcome, but at the end of the game, we’ll fight, so we’re proud because we give everything, because this is the heart of the people of Wolverhampton.”<\/p>\n
