However, Ferguson is understood to be well and feeling much better.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Asked by the Press Association how Ferguson was doing after falling ill at Old Trafford, a source close to the iconic Scottish player said he was &#8220;fine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>It is understood that Ferguson first began feeling unwell in the tunnel area of \u200b\u200bthe ground, where he was examined by on-site doctors. As a precaution, he was removed from the stadium and taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In Ferguson&#8217;s absence, United put in a performance that would make Ferguson proud as manager Michael Carrick&#8217;s side sealed their place in next season&#8217;s Champions League with a 3-2 win.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>United defeated Liverpool in a tumultuous match at Old Trafford. In the first half, the Reds were on the verge of defeat against their strong rivals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Matheus Cunha, despite being hurt, hit Freddie Woodman into the Liverpool goal with a half-volley that slotted into the far corner to put the Reds ahead. United then doubled their lead with a controversial goal from Benjamin Sesco.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Slovenian&#8217;s goal fell off his hands as it entered the net, but the goal was disallowed as VAR could not clearly assess the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In the second half, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kodi Gakpo took advantage of some laxity in United&#8217;s defence, and Liverpool escaped the trap and leveled the game when they equalized within 11 minutes of the second half.
