Manager Arne Slott has admitted he expects Mohamed Salah to feature again for Liverpool before the end of the season. Salah was injured during the Reds’ 2-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace last weekend, sparking fears the Egyptian would play his final game for the club.<\/p>\n
Salah will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, with the Reds only having four Premier League games remaining this season, starting with this weekend’s away trip to Manchester United.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old will miss Sunday’s away trip to Old Trafford, but Liverpool hope the forward will be available for the remaining games.<\/p>\n
Slott provided an update on Salah’s fitness and admitted he expects the forward to be back in action by the end of the season.<\/p>\n

“As we know about Mo, he always works hard to come back when he’s healthy and even when he’s injured,” Slott said Friday.<\/p>\n
“He’s often healthier than others, so we expect him to be back late in the season, but that’s not going to be the case tomorrow.<\/p>\n
“For us and for him to play in the World Cup, it’s always a big relief that his injury is minor. For a player who deserves to be sent off, that’s always great news.”<\/p>\n
Salah endured a difficult season at Liverpool, scoring 12 goals in all competitions, including just seven in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Salah came off injured in last weekend’s game against Palace and left the pitch to a standing ovation from Liverpool fans at Anfield.<\/p>\n
Liverpool have since confirmed they expect Salah to return before the end of the season.<\/p>\n

“Liverpool FC can confirm that Mohamed Salah is expected to be able to play again before the end of this season,” a statement from Liverpool said.<\/p>\n
“Number 11 came on as a substitute in the second half of the Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Anfield last Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe issue that caused his withdrawal was confirmed to be a minor muscle injury.<\/p>\n
“However, Salah is expected to return to action at the end of the 2025-26 season and ahead of his departure from the Reds this summer.”<\/p>\n
Liverpool are fighting for Champions League qualification and currently sit fourth in the Premier League table.<\/p>\n
The Reds have an eight-point advantage over sixth-placed Brighton, who are outside the Champions League places, with four games remaining.<\/p>\n
After facing United, Liverpool will face Chelsea (May 9th), Aston Villa (May 17th) and Brentford (May 24th) in the preparation period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
