Shearer was quick to praise Chloe&#8217;s fianc\u00e9, rugby star Micky Young. Micky Young was called up to the England squad in 2016, but did not feature. But as well as playing for England Saxons, he has also represented his country in the Sevens format.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>This year&#8217;s race is scheduled for Sunday, but it seems unlikely to be as memorable as last year for the Shearer family. Shearer was cheering on her son Will, who was one of the runners. Young, meanwhile, had planned to spend Saturday night watching Newcastle&#8217;s win over Ipswich Town and attend the race with his entire family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>However, things didn&#8217;t quite go to plan and Shearer revealed Young&#8217;s disastrous failure on The Rest is Football.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Co-host Gary Lineker brought up Will&#8217;s participation in the marathon and asked how Shearer found the opportunity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;I have to say it&#8217;s unbelievable. The atmosphere and the togetherness of everyone that creates this great (atmosphere). Yeah, to be honest, everyone seems so happy,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>\u201cI have to tell you a quick story about my eldest daughter Chloe and her boyfriend, a former rugby player and ex-Newcastle Falcons player, who has been dating her for several years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>\u201cHe went to the Newcastle game yesterday and we were all here so we were going to catch the 5.59pm train from Newcastle to London to watch and support Will.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;So he got to the station, got there five minutes early and got on the train. After 15 minutes on the train, he heard an announcement: &#8216;Welcome to everyone on the train to Edinburgh. He took the damn Megabus from Edinburgh to London, which cost \u00a330, and arrived in London at 6.45am this morning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;So I told him, &#8216;You&#8217;re going to be taking care of my shitty daughter in the future!'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Co-host Micah Richards laughed as the former England player replied:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Mr Shearer continued: &#8220;To be honest, I said, &#8216;Really?'&#8221; And he said he had stopped in Dunbar, Newcastle, Leeds and Sheffield, and I said, &#8220;Oh, you idiot!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>This year&#8217;s London Marathon will be held on Sunday.
