Mohamed Salah was forced off the pitch during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, with manager Arne Slott clearly underlining the seriousness of his injury.<\/h2>\n

Arne Slott fears Mohamed Salah will be playing his last game for Liverpool after being sent off against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Salah came on as a substitute in the 59th minute of the 3-1 win at Anfield, but with four games left in the season there is a chance he may not return.<\/p>\n
Salah dropped to the edge of the Palace area and immediately grabbed the sole of his left foot. Liverpool’s medical staff appeared on the pitch for examination and assessment, and Slott decided to replace the Egyptian with Jeremy Frimpong.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old left the pitch to warm applause from fans inside Anfield and grimaced as he spoke to Slott on the sideline. Salah announced last month that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of this season, but Liverpool still do not know the full extent of his problems.<\/p>\n
“Another win, another injury. That’s the story of our season,” Slott told Match of the Day. “It’s too early to say, but we all know about Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch. Mo leaving the pitch shows something, but we have to wait and see how bad it is.”<\/p>\n

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, manager Tim Sherwood said: “This could be his last time in a Liverpool shirt. You can see him grabbing his left hamstring. What a sad end for him. What a round of applause for him.”<\/p>\n
Salah has made 440 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017. He has scored 257 goals for the club, including 12 this season, but has decided to forego the final year of his \u00a3350,000-a-week contract and is expected to move on in the summer.<\/p>\n

At the time of Salah’s injury, Liverpool were leading 2-0 with first-half goals from Alexander Isak and Andy Robertson. Palace closed the gap through a controversial goal from Daniel Mu\u00f1oz, and when Freddie Woodman went down with an injury, Jorgen Strand Larsen hit the post and a strong finish from Florian Wirths in stoppage time safely snatched the points.<\/p>\n
The Reds have four games left this season, all with the aim of finishing in the top four of the Premier League. Saturday’s victory was their third straight league win and moved them past Aston Villa into fourth place.<\/p>\n
