There is a turning point in every manager’s reign. And just three months after joining Chelsea, Liam Rosenior feels he can continue to do well.<\/p>\n
This is humiliating and courageless, and once a fan turns to such brutality, there is often no turning back. Chelsea fans, who were away, expressed their feelings towards co-owner Behdad Egbali, who was sitting in the stands, shouting “fuck Rosenior”.<\/p>\n
The club feels as if it has lost its soul and is in serious danger of collapsing without Champions League football for next season, which it is already looking beyond.<\/p>\n
Incredibly, this is the first time since 1912 that Chelsea have lost five consecutive league games without scoring. That was the year the Titanic sank, and Chelsea is sinking just as fast.<\/p>\n

But even a mixed Chelsea team should be showing more pride than this. This was truly embarrassing, as the players didn’t really see much of a fight, and sadly made the coach reflect badly.<\/p>\n
Brighton left them in tatters, but the only saving grace was that Fabian H\u00fcrzeler’s side failed to score another goal, which only increased the pressure on Rosenior.<\/p>\n
The home fans even chanted the name of former Brighton player Rosenior, but that only added salt to the wound.<\/p>\n
Chelsea’s season is heading towards chaos and, with just four games remaining, the owners are faced with a difficult decision.<\/p>\n
You have to feel some sympathy for Rosenior. Because he’s a great young coach and an honorable man, and I couldn’t turn down the job.<\/p>\n

But trying to run the basket case for a club that has cost the team over \u00a31bn has left him exposed and still looks like a complete mess.<\/p>\n
Brighton took the lead within three minutes. Man of the match Pascal Gross sent over for a corner which was flicked on by Ferdi Kadioglu for his first goal in 17 months.<\/p>\n
Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez defended his team. But a goal looked certain as his pass went straight to Carlos Baleva, who found Jack Hinshelwood, but a heroic last-ditch clearance from the fit-again Trevor Charova made another mistake.<\/p>\n
Rosseniol switched to a back three, but abandoned it at half-time as Alejandro Garnacho was introduced in place of Wesley Fofana. However, they looked weak on defense and toothless on offense.<\/p>\n
But for Brighton’s advantage, they had to wait a bit. It came after 56 minutes. Chelsea protested in vain as the ball hit Yankuba Minte in the arm and referee Craig Pawson waved it away.<\/p>\n

Georginio Rutter led the attack and laid the ball off to Hinshelwood, who the Brighton midfielder darted home to make the result safe.<\/p>\n
As the night wore on and the crisis engulfing the club deepened, the chants of “fuck Rosenior” grew louder, further frustrating Chelsea fans.<\/p>\n
In the end, Brighton got a deserved third point with super-sub Danny Welbeck scoring from close range.<\/p>\n
Chelsea’s bet on a new manager to take charge of last year’s world champions seems to have backfired, with Rosenior’s form appearing to be declining.<\/p>\n
