T<\/span>The Lamine Yamal phenomenon continues to grow at a pace that astounds even the greatest legends in the world of football. At just 18 years old, the Barcelona winger has not only established himself as one of the current stars, but is also beginning to be seen as the natural successor to Catalan club legend Lionel Messi.<\/p>\nAnd this is being debated not only among analysts and fans, but also among former teammates of the Argentine and former Bar\u00e7a players such as Sergio Aguero.<\/p>\n
‘Kun’ Aguero defends Yamal, compares him to Messi and Mbapp\u00e9<\/h2>\n
According to the former Manchester City player, Lamine has unique qualities and the ability to find a way out of the most difficult situations, stressing that even compared to the influence of Barcelona’s historic goalscorers, he is already among the elite at his current level.<\/p>\n
“A lot of people compare him to other players, but from my experience he is one of the best players. It’s normal to have good games and bad games. I want everyone to go watch him play. His movement, passing, dribbling, agility is extraordinary. Only Leo Messi has ever achieved that,” Aguero said in a statement to The Stake (via GOAL).<\/p>\n
Lamine has played in 44 games this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 18 assists, leading Bar\u00e7a’s attack and despite losing the Champions League against Atl\u00e9tico Madrid, they currently lead Real Madrid in La Liga by nine points and are aiming for their second consecutive title. <\/p>\n
“I was speechless when I saw his debut. He is a rare talent,” Aguero admitted.<\/p>\n
The comparison with Messi is not a coincidence. The Argentine star himself has already recognized the youngster’s talent, even comparing him to Real Madrid star Kylian Mbapp\u00e9.<\/p>\n
“Today, for me, there is no comparison. Lamine is above many other players. Maybe Mbapp\u00e9 is there now, but we know his style. Very aggressive in one-on-one situations, he finishes well But Lamine has something that few others have. I like his short passes and his decision-making. They are very difficult to stop.<\/p>\n
Beyond the accolades, what really sets Yamal apart is his influence on the game. It’s not just about statistics or individual plays, it’s about a consistent ability to change the course of a game. His confidence, maturity and character allowed him to take on unusual responsibilities for his age and make him a key figure in Barcelona’s project.<\/p>\n
His talent not only excites fans, but also garners agreement among experts and former players. Barcelona’s next match will be against Celta de Vigo in La Liga, scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd at the Spotify Camp Nou.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
