What more can he do?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It would be totally absurd, it&#8217;s not gambling, it would just be absurd (to not give it to him), he&#8217;s proven that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Former United midfielder Hargreaves further highlighted Cole&#8217;s comments, claiming it would be &#8220;absolutely ridiculous&#8221; to consider anyone else.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s proven he can do the job,&#8221; Hargreaves said. &#8220;Since he took over they have become the best team in the Premier League. They beat Man City and Arsenal, the two best teams in the division.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has shown that he can game plan on the counter and obviously they did something similar today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cara understands the players and that&#8217;s probably why he&#8217;s here. He understands the pressure of playing at this football club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe puts players in the right positions they need to play to be successful and excels in all abilities. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it would be totally ridiculous to give it to him and then not give it to him at a point where you probably wouldn&#8217;t expect it. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think today confirmed that. If they hadn&#8217;t won today and qualified for the Champions League, we might have had a discussion and maybe brought in more experienced players.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If today is over and he finishes third, I don&#8217;t understand why they didn&#8217;t give him the award. It would make no sense at all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"typo-tk-rs-title-lg text-content-block-default-text-fill-01\" data-testid=\"body-subtitle\">Carrick explains the impact of change<\/h2>\n<p>Carrick, like any head coach, is just taking his job one game at a time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can&#8217;t take that lightly. That was big.
