Richarlison’s current situation is less than ideal. This is not only because Tottenham Hotspur are going through a tough time as they sit in the relegation zone, but also because he is being doubted to be part of Brazil’s national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n

Despite this, the forward remains hopeful and has already made impressive promises should he be called up by manager Carlo Ancelotti.<\/p>\n

Richarlison and his interesting promises for the 2026 World Cup<\/h2>\n

The 28-year-old Brazilian was part of the squad for the last World Cup in Qatar, playing in four of Canarinha’s five matches. Now, he’s aiming for his second World Cup appearance and has shown he’s willing to do whatever it takes to join Caret’s roster.<\/p>\n

Although Richarlison was not called up by his manager for two friendlies against France and Croatia in March, he did not lose hope. In an interview with France Football (via Ol), he made an impressive promise. This is an idea proposed by Casemiro.<\/p>\n

If I go to the next World Cup, I’ll leave my phone at home.<\/p>\n

Richarlison<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This decision was made after social media played a dirty prank on him during the 2022 World Cup, a situation he was aware of that would affect his performance in the tournament. Because of this, he wants to keep distractions and problems off his radar.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had to deal with family and personal issues that have affected my concentration,” he admitted.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has made 54 appearances for Canarinha, including 24 friendlies, 16 South American World Cup qualifying matches, 10 Copa Amrica matches and four World Cup matches. He scored 20 goals (three of them at the World Cup) and provided eight assists. He also scored 10 goals in 37 games for Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ancelotti is set to announce his final World Cup squad on May 18, but his other star, Neymar, is also on the fence.<\/p>\n

With a clear goal of winning a sixth World Cup, Richarlison still dreams of making his World Cup dream come true again as part of the team, traveling to the United States, Mexico and Canada, despite his current uncertainties.<\/p>\n

For this tournament, Brazil will be placed in Group C along with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland. They will make their debut against Morocco on Saturday, June 13th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. They will then face Haiti at Soldier Field in Philadelphia on Friday, June 19th, and Scotland at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Wednesday, June 24th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
