The Seasiders&#8217; 3-1 win over Peterborough United was halted for 30 minutes in the second half as paramedics worked to assist fans in the stands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Despite its best efforts, the club announced on Sunday that its supporter, now identified as Graham Sharman, had tragically passed away. A statement from the club said: &#8220;Blackpool Football Club is deeply saddened to announce the death of supporter Graham Sharman.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Graham suffered a medical emergency during the second half of Saturday&#8217;s match at Bloomfield Road. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Graham sadly passed away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;The club has been in contact with his family and will continue to remain in close contact to provide any support they may need. Everyone&#8217;s thoughts and condolences go out to Graham&#8217;s family and everyone connected at this time. Rest in Peace, Graham.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Several other clubs were quick to pay tribute to Graham online as well. AFC Fylde wrote: &#8220;This is shocking news. Our thoughts are with Graham&#8217;s friends and family and everyone at Blackpool FC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Meanwhile, Peterborough United added: &#8220;The football club is saddened to hear this news. Our thoughts are with Graham&#8217;s friends and family at this incredibly sad time.&#8221; Fleetwood Town also said: &#8220;The thoughts of everyone at Fleetwood Town are with Mr Graham&#8217;s family and friends at this difficult time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Blackpool won 3-1 against Peterborough United in League One on Saturday, despite manager Fraser Horsfall&#8217;s late red card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Dale Taylor broke the deadlock for the Tangerines just three minutes into the game, and Brandon Kela tied the score midway through the first half.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Tom Bloxham restored his team&#8217;s advantage just four minutes into the interval, and Taylor scored his second goal with about eight minutes remaining.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Horsfall&#8217;s marching orders were given after a minute and Blackpool were down to 10 men, but the home side held firm to protect their two-goal advantage and secure all three points.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The win moves Blackpool into 18th place in the League One table, sitting comfortably 14 points above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/sport\/football\/2193173\/blackpool-fan-dies-league-one-match-halted\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blackpool FC have announced that a supporter has died following a medical emergency at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
