In response to the complaint, FIFA said: $60 tickets will be available Amounts of between 400 and 700 per team can be paid for each match, targeting the most loyal supporters of the participating national federations.

“The adoption of dynamic ticket pricing for the 2026 FWC stands in sharp contrast to FIFA’s core mission of promoting the accessible and inclusive promotion and development of soccer worldwide,” the 69 Democratic Party members said in a March 10 letter to FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “Dynamic pricing will make the 2026 FWC financially the most exclusive and inaccessible tournament ever, even as host cities work together to realize the vision of the biggest and most global World Cup in history.”

FIFA also has its own resale marketcollects 15% from both buyers and sellers.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, CongoCzech Republic, IraqSweden and Turkey complete the World Cup berths. Fans of teams eliminated on Tuesday may try to resell tickets they have already purchased. ItalyPoland, Denmark, Jamaica, and Bolivia.

Infantino claimed in January that the amount of ticket requests FIFA had received was equivalent to “1,000 years’ worth of World Cup requests at once.”

“This is unique,” he said at the time. “That’s unbelievable.”

It’s unclear whether many of those requests were for seats in the lowest-priced categories.

Fan groups have expressed concern about soaring ticket resale prices. filed a formal complaint It was submitted to the European Commission last month.

Infantino defended FIFA’s share of the resale, arguing that FIFA was conducting a legitimate commercial activity under U.S. law. Some European countries have laws that can restrict resale by requiring tickets to be sold at face value or only to authorized partners of the event organizer.

___

AP Soccer: https://apnews.com/hub/soccer

Source link

FIFA seems to have had technical issues when restarting. world cup Ticket sales start on Wednesday 48 team field has been decided.
