It was England’s first goal conceded in seven games and the decision left managers and players furious, with Tuchel clarifying that it was “not a penalty”.<\/p>\n
Harry Maguire echoed that sentiment, and was further angered by the referee’s lack of action when Ronaldo Araujo made an ill-advised challenge on Phil Foden.<\/p>\n
“You don’t get a red card when you see a tackle like that,” Maguire told ITV.<\/p>\n
Brilliant Worts defeats Switzerland<\/h2>\n
In Basel, Germany won six games in a row, thanks in large part to the performance of Liverpool’s Wirtz.<\/p>\n
Germany looked unstable at the back, but they turned things around in the 17th minute when Dan Ndoye cut in from the left and fired a shot past Oliver Baumann from a narrow angle.<\/p>\n
Germany equalized nine minutes later when Wirtz’s cross from the left was headed in by Jonathan Tarr, but in the 41st minute, Briel Embolo, who hesitated to leave Baumann in front, put Switzerland ahead again with a diving header.<\/p>\n
Once again Wirtz pulled Germany back into the game. Just before half-time, his flung pass cut through the Swiss defense and allowed Serge Gnabry to lift the ball past keeper Gregor Korbel.<\/p>\n
Wirtz then scored the best goal of the night 11 minutes into the second half to give Germany a 3-2 lead. From 30 meters out, he fired a stunning right-footed shot that sailed past Korbel and into the top corner of the goal.<\/p>\n
The home team tied the score with 10 minutes left on a rifle shot by Joel Monteiro, giving Bauman no chance, but Wirtz made a great shot from his own 18-yard line six minutes before the end to make it 4-3.<\/p>\n
The result ended Switzerland’s 10-game unbeaten streak. <\/p>\n
Oyarzabal plays for Spain national team<\/h2>\n
At Villarreal, Oyarzabal became Spain’s star man for the game against Serbia, which was scheduled at short notice.<\/p>\n
The match was hastily arranged after Spain’s proposed match against Argentina in Doha was canceled due to the Middle East war, and showed why the home side are among the favorites to win their second World Cup this summer.<\/p>\n

Mu\u00f1oz ended a happy night with a goal nine minutes later. He received a great backheel pass from Ferran Torres and stroked the ball to make it 3-0.<\/p>\n
Netherlands defeats Norway<\/h2>\n
