MUNICH (AP) \u2014 Jonas Ulbig returned to Bayern Munich’s starting lineup against Atalanta after recovering from a concussion amid an injury crisis that almost meant a chance for the 16-year-old goalkeeper. leonard prescott<\/span> in champions league<\/span> Round of 16 second leg game on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Ulbig, normally Bayern’s second-choice goal-scorer, suffered a concussion after colliding with an opponent in the first leg, which Bayern won 6-1 last week. Fellow goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are also injured and are not part of the team.<\/p>\n

Erbig was named to the starting lineup just over an hour before kick-off. Prescott and 19-year-old Giannis Bartle were placed on the bench.<\/p>\n

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said on Tuesday that Ulbig’s return was a “purely medical decision” and that he was training normally.<\/p>\n

Prescott, a New York native, was on the team’s bench. Bundesliga match<\/span> Saturday when Ulreich, the third choice, tore his adductor muscle. Kompany said Prescott would be the preferred option if Erbig is unable to play.<\/p>\n

Bayern are also working on it injury<\/span> Left-back Alphonso Davies and forward Jamal Musiala after last week’s win against Atalanta.<\/p>\n

Harry Kane returned to Bayern’s starting lineup for the first time since February 28 after suffering a calf problem.<\/p>\n
