MUNICH (AP) \u2014 Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has indicated he is likely to avoid using a 16-year-old goalkeeper. leonard prescott<\/span> in champions league<\/span> The match against Atalanta came after substitute Jonas Ulvig returned to training on Tuesday amid an injury crisis.<\/p>\n

Ulbig, normally Bayern’s second-choice goal-scorer, suffered a concussion after colliding with an opponent in the first leg, which Bayern won 6-1 last week. Fellow goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are also injured ahead of Wednesday’s second leg.<\/p>\n

Kompany said whether Ulbig is fit to play will be a “purely medical decision”. “If everything goes well tomorrow morning and things are going the way they are now, Ulbig will be in goal as usual. If not, we will have to use a different solution and we will do the same.”<\/p>\n

And Kompany admitted the “solution” would be Prescott, a 16-year-old New York native who normally plays for the club’s Under-19 team.<\/p>\n

Prescott was on the team’s bench. Bundesliga match<\/span> Saturday when Ulreich, the third choice, tore his adductor muscle. 19-year-old reserve player Giannis Bartle is also being considered as an option.<\/p>\n

Bayern said Ulbig trained with the team on Tuesday, while Neuer practiced partially as part of his recovery from a recurring calf injury. “Obviously we’re happy that Manu is back and Jonas can train normally,” Kompany said.<\/p>\n

Bayern are also working on it injury<\/span> Left-back Alphonso Davies and forward Jamal Musiala after last week’s win against Atalanta.<\/p>\n
