<\/span>Hannah Hampton paid tribute to her late grandfather after the Euro 2025 Final<\/span>(Image: Instagram: _hannahhampton)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/div>\nHannah Hampton has made a beautiful tribute to her grandfather following England’s Euro 2025 victory, revealing that she sadly passed away two days before the start of the tournament.<\/p>\n
Hampton, 24, was the Lioness hero with a dramatic penalty shootout against Spain in the final on Sunday, saving two spot kicks and urged England to a second consecutive European title.<\/p>\n
And she marked the opportunity by sharing heart-warming posts on her Instagram account in honor of her late grandfather, “one of her greatest supporters.”<\/p>\n
“Dear Grandpa,” she wrote. “Two days before the biggest tournament of my life, you left. It’s not realistic yet. When I hear your voice again, I’m one of your jokes, or one of the small comments that you’re saying everything without saying anything.<\/p>\n
“You were one of my biggest supporters. You believed in me before I even knew what this journey would look like. You were always there – you were there – you looked, encouraged, taught. You taught me a lot, not just about football, but a lot about life.<\/p>\n

“It breaks my heart to not be able to see you leave for our country in my first major tournament… What you dreamed of for me, we’ve spoken many times.<\/p>\n
