T<\/span>The 2026 FIFA World Cup is approaching and fans around the world are already feeling the excitement. In Mexico, one of the host countries, the government has decided to hold a special event: a large-scale soccer school in Skaro, Mexico City.<\/p>\n

Skaro is one of the country’s most important landmarks and the traditional setting for political, cultural, and civic events. People started arriving early in the morning, many wearing coordinated uniforms, creating an impressive visual experience. What started as inviting citizens to a training session quickly turned into something much bigger.<\/p>\n

Mexico sets Guinness World Record<\/h2>\n

Thanks to the participation of 9,500 people, Mexico broke the Guinness World Record for the largest soccer training session ever held. This record is defined by collecting the most participants who performed a coordinated movement continuously (in this case, for 35 minutes).<\/p>\n

If you think about it calmly, the previous record was set in Seattle, USA. This session was held at Pier 62 in Waterfront Park on June 15, 2025, as part of the one-year countdown to the 2026 World Cup. In Seattle, 1,038 people participated, surpassing the previous 956 people in San Jos, California. This comparison shows how much Mexico raised the bar and filled Zucaro with energy, movement and football passion.<\/p>\n

The event in Mexico was led by expert speakers and attended by Clara Brugada, head of the Mexico City government, representing the capital. The magnitude of this record reflects not only the nation’s love for soccer, but also soccer’s ability to unite people around a common goal.<\/p>\n

Mexico will open the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey hosting 13 matches, with the capital set to host the tournament’s opening match.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
