NYON, Switzerland (AP) – Tickets for the Champions League final in Budapest have been frozen. Same price as last year’s gameUEFA announced it on Monday as part of a more fan-friendly program than the World Cup.

UEFA has set detailed restrictions on who can buy tickets through resale platforms. Its resale platform, unlike FIFA’s resale platform, does not have to charge sellers a fee at face value. world cup tickets In the US.

Critics liken the 2026 World Cup ticket market to an official scalper, with no limits on resale prices and FIFA taking a 15% commission from buyers and sellers.

Thousands of tickets at the lowest price of 70 euros (about 80,000 yen) will remain the same for the third year in a row for fans of the two Champions League finalists. Tickets for spectators with disabilities are also 70 euros ($80), and one ticket for a companion is free.

UEFA said each finalist will win 17,200 of the 61,400 tickets for the match, which will be held on May 30 at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital.

An additional 4,600 tickets will be sold in a draw around the world through UEFA’s website, with winners required to register their mobile phones to curb scalping.

UEFA said: “Successful applicants will need to use this registered mobile phone to access the stadium on the day of the match, as the purchaser’s ticket is not transferable.” “Access to purchase resale tickets will only be granted to selected fans who are unsuccessful in the lottery.”

At last year’s Munich final, prices for seats in the upper categories increased, but in Budapest they remain unchanged. These tickets are priced at 180 euros ($206), 650 euros ($747) and 950 euros ($1,090).

UEFA has reserved more than 22,000 tickets for broadcasters, sponsors, football federations and guests.

UEFA is advised on ticketing issues for club finals and major tournaments by Football Supporters Europe, an official fan organization that is not consulted by FIFA on World Cup prices.

FIFA responded to widespread criticism It will reduce the price of December’s World Cup by making hundreds of seats available for $60 at each of the 104 games to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. These tickets will be distributed to some of the most loyal fans from each of the 48 participating national federations.
