However, they received a one-year suspension from signing with the first team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>The Blues were also handed a \u00a310.75 million fine, the largest in Premier League history. Chelsea self-declared possible violations during Clearlake and Todd Boley&#8217;s 2022 takeover, which was investigated by the league and ratified by an independent committee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>It has emerged that undisclosed payments were made to players, unregistered agents and third parties between 2011 and 2018 by third parties connected to the club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>The Premier League issued a statement confirming that Chelsea had &#8220;acknowledged, inter alia, that by making these payments and failing to disclose them to the league, they breached the requirement to act in good faith towards the league&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Eden Hazard, David Luiz, Andre Schurrle, Ramires, Nemanja Matic, William and Samuel Eto&#8217;o have all been named.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">The BBC claimed that had Chelsea not self-declared the historic payout, he would have received a full two-year transfer ban.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Separate FA disciplinary proceedings relating to alleged breaches of FA rules are still ongoing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>Express sports on FB! Also, when requested by the Premier League for information, the club provided an immediate and comprehensive response and facilitated all lines of investigation in support of a complex and very thorough process.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;Furthermore, during the course of the investigation, additional evidence was provided to the club by a third party regarding possible breaches of Premier League rules committed by former employees in a small number of historic academy transactions. This information was immediately and proactively self-reported to the Premier League.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>\u201cThe club wishes to clarify that, following a thorough financial analysis by the Premier League, it has concluded that &#8220;under no circumstances could the club have exceeded the maximum allowable loss of \u00a3105 million during the three-year assessment period set out in the regulations.&#8221;Therefore, there is no scenario in which the club could have historically breached the applicable limits of the Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Regulations during the season in question.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;From the outset of this process, the Club has treated these matters with the utmost seriousness and provided full co-operation with all relevant regulatory authorities. The Club welcomes the &#8216;exceptional co-operation&#8217; from the Premier League and the recognition that &#8216;without these voluntary disclosures and self-reports, many of the Premier League&#8217;s breaches of regulations may never have come to the attention of the League.&#8217;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>&#8220;The club has fully accepted the terms of the settlement, details of which can be found on the Premier League website. To be clear, the nine-month restriction on academy player registrations applies immediately, but only applies to academy players who have been registered with another league or EFL club within the previous 18 months.
