However, thanks to the team formed by Olise, Kane and Luis D\u00edaz, Bayern was able to get back on track to start eyeing not only this mythical trident, but also the “MSN” of Mourinho’s record, or the trident formed by Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
His arrival at Allianz is progressing gradually. The first to arrive was Harry Kane, who was keen to end the ‘curse’ of the title. He recently reached his 500th career goal and has already scored 130 goals in 133 games for Bayern. He is the leader in the Golden Boot race with 30 goals in 25 games (45 in all competitions) and is on pace to match Lewandowski’s 41 goals with 20 wins and 21 losses.<\/p>\n

Third and last to arrive in the fray is Luis Diaz, who is in full swing at Bayern. His \u20ac70 million signing from Liverpool raised some eyebrows, but he quickly silenced them. His 20 goals and 17 assists have already surpassed career highs at the age of 29. He was expected to be an immediate force, but he has exceeded expectations. If he scores eight more goals by the end of the season, he will be in the top 10 most influential signings of all time.<\/p>\n
“At first we were criticized, but we knew what we were doing. We were confident that it would work very well. Not only because of the goals and assists, but also because of his drive and intensity. Maybe some people will back out now,” said Hebert. “I’m proud to play with Kane and Olise. I’m very proud to be part of this attack,” Luis Diaz said.<\/p>\n
They complement and understand each other. They have been involved in 128 of Bayern’s 134 goals in all competitions. “You need individual quality to score, and all these players have it and have shown it for years,” Kompany said. “Kane doesn’t just stay in the box. Olise and Lucho don’t just play wide. Today’s football requires more creativity and less rigidity,” Ebert explained.<\/p>\n

In the Bundesliga alone, he has already scored 92 goals after 25 games. He averages almost 4 goals and is predicted to score over 125 goals. This number would surpass his 101 goals in the 1971-72 season and make Bayern the most prolific in the German Championship. This is a small record considering they are the team with the most points in the five major leagues, outscoring Real Madrid 11-12.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, they are the best trio in Europe this season, having already surpassed the 104 goals of Robben, Lewandowski and Ribery’s ‘peak’ (16-17). Their numbers are therefore beginning to rival the most prolific trident of all time. Bayern currently leads the Bundesliga, having reached the semi-finals of the Cup and the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Therefore, if they play all possible games (17) between now and the end of the season, they are projected to score just over 184 goals.<\/p>\n\n

However, this Bayern team looks set to be the first trident other than Real Madrid and Barcelona to break into the top 10 deadliest of all time. This record was set by the 144 goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil and Benzema for Real Madrid in 2010-11. It may not have much of a marketing effect, but the trident of “KOL” (Cain Olise Luis Diaz) is sweeping the front.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
