Manchester United have increased season ticket prices for the fourth year in a row as the Red Devils aim to increase revenue. The Old Trafford team have confirmed that prices have again been increased by 5%.

Prices have been frozen for 11 seasons, but compared to last season, adult prices will rise by an average of £2 per game and children’s prices will rise by £1 per game. The decision will be taken in consultation with the club’s Fan Advisory Committee.

The minimum price for an adult general admission season ticket this season will be £646, or £34 per game.

A spokesperson said: “This decision follows a constructive discussion with our fan advisory committee and fan representatives from a wide range of supporter groups. We understand the challenges faced by supporters, particularly the rescheduling of match dates and times after broadcast coverage has been decided, and recognize the importance of a fair and flexible policy.”

“We are heartened that the majority of season ticket holders are on track to achieve this season’s occupancy standards, and Old Trafford and the team continue to benefit from high attendance and a lively atmosphere with very few empty seats.”

However, it has been confirmed that not all fans will see the price increase, and that Executive Club members will see their prices frozen if they choose to renew before April 15th.

United have already explained that the increase in ticket prices is to support the club’s ambitions to challenge on both the domestic and European fronts.

This comes after Sir Jim Ratcliffe explained that fans had complained about his decision to cut costs at Old Trafford. He said: “It (abuse) can be unpleasant.

“And I think I probably failed in terms of enjoying myself. I mean, I can put up with it for a while. I don’t care that it’s unpopular, because I don’t think anyone likes to see Manchester United in the situation they’re in right now, and I know that nobody likes the decisions that we have to make at the moment.”

“I can live with a little bit of anger, but I’m no different than any other human being, and that’s not good, especially for my friends and family. So in the end, when the Glazers get to the point where they’re being abused, I’m going to have to say enough is enough and let someone else do it.”

“They really can’t come to the game, Glazers. They’ve gone into the shadows a little bit now, so I’m getting all the bloody sticks. We agreed, and I haven’t seen them since.”

“It’s, ‘Thank you, Jim, you’re doing a really good job.'” Right now, I don’t have security, I don’t have to walk around like that. But that would kill the object, right? It would be unbearable and uninteresting at that level. ”
