“It has been a terrible weekend as four players have come forward with accusations of racist abuse they have suffered on social media, but the sad fact is we know this happens on a regular basis,” the organization said.<\/p>\n
“The message from them is loud and clear: it must be followed by action. Players cannot be expected to tolerate this behavior, and neither should anyone else.”<\/p>\n
The Premier League also condemned the abuse of players.<\/p>\n
“There are serious consequences for those found guilty of discrimination, and we fully support their investigation,” the contest said. “Football is for everyone. There is no place for racism.”<\/p>\n
Mandle, 22, has since deleted his Instagram account, the Sunderland Echo reported.<\/p>\n
