Joan Laporta sent a message of unity and hope to all Barcelona fans. The former Barcelona president lamented the adversity they suffered, from a poor pitch in the first leg to a goal that was mistakenly ruled out, believing that the team failed to mount a response that he considered viable in the second leg. Laporta believes there are still points left and, with the unconditional support of the fans, the team can once again star in a spectacular night that will mark the stadium’s history.<\/p>\n
The Catalan also referred to the canceled goal to Pau Kvarsi and recalled that after what happened with the canceled goal to Lamine Yamal in Anoeta, “it doesn’t rain, but it rains”, which was also incorrect in his opinion. “We are not innocent,” he said, hinting at his displeasure with recent refereeing decisions and stressing that the team must fight against everything.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, we suffered a series of adversities yesterday, from a poor pitch to a goal that was unfairly given away, and a comeback in the second leg could have been had we all supported and encouraged the team like we did on that epic night at the stadium. They were unable to make a comeback. Pau Kubalsi on the unfairly disallowed goal, it will not rain but it will pour, because it reminds us of the unfairly disallowed match against Lamine Yamal in Anoeta. Nothing is innocent. That’s why we have to fight everything and everything. Now more than ever, we need to stand by our players.
