The structure of March’s Carabao Cup final was revealed this week, and its ramifications have left FPL managers pondering how best to survive the first double gameweek of the season and the blank gameweek caused by Arsenal and Manchester City securing spots for the Wembley showdown.<\/div>\n

Arsenal will play two games on Round 26 as their away match against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been moved forward, but Man City’s home match against Crystal Palace, originally scheduled for March 21, will have to be rescheduled for a later date.<\/p>\n

Therefore, in addition to increasing investment in things like Manchester United’s attack line, a treble against Arsenal would be a popular move among the group. Manchester United will be looking to take the lead on a fourth straight league win when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday, which will be broadcast live on TNT Sports and Discovery Plus.<\/div>\n

1. Eli Junior Crupi, \u00a34.7m – Forward, Bournemouth, 6.1% – Aston Villa (H)<\/h2>\n

Bournemouth, managed by Andoni Iraola, deserve attention. Despite selling Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City in the middle of last month, the Cherries remain in good form. Semenyo’s story at the Vitality Stadium came to a fairytale ending as he scored the winning goal in stoppage time against Tottenham.<\/p>\n

This ended Bournemouth’s 11-game winless run, but Iraola has never looked back since bidding farewell to Semenyo. His side were spectacularly denied a win in the closing stages against Brighton & Hove Albion, but back-to-back wins against Liverpool and Wolves mean they will have little to fear from a visit from a struggling Aston Villa side.<\/p>\n

He has already come a long way since his time with Lorient’s reserve team in the 2022\/23 season, with his shot conversion rate being the highest of any player in his division, scoring eight goals from just 21 shots (38.10%).<\/div>\n
Opta reports that Anelka, Robbie Keane and Romelu Lukaku are the only non-British teenagers in Premier League history to reach double figures in a single season, but Crupi would not be opposed to joining the esteemed side as early as this weekend, as Villa side begin to lose ground in their bid to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.<\/div>\n

2. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, \u00a34.1m – Defender, West Ham, 4.2% – Burnley (A)<\/h2>\n

The West Ham United defender hasn’t attracted much attention this season. After all, no team has scored more than 30 goals in the second half of a match.<\/p>\n

From a defensive perspective, the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo was expected to create a more solid team. <\/p>\n

But since the Portuguese took charge in September, they have collected 15 points, almost the same as their total. They were relatively dominant against Chelsea last weekend, but a second-half collapse continued that trend and left the Hammers in the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Notably, West Ham appointed former Rayo Vallecano manager Paco Jemez as first-team coach in January 2026. The Spaniard is known for his attacking style, which is already reflected in his wider use of full-backs.<\/p>\n

3. Noni Madueke, \u00a36.8m – Midfielder, Arsenal, 0.8% – Sunderland (H)<\/h2>\n

With 325,963 sales at the time of writing, Bukayo Saka is the most-transferred player of the week after the Arsenal winger limped off during last weekend’s warm-up with Leeds. <\/p>\n

There are reports that Saka is expected to miss the next three Premier League matches, with his return scheduled for the north London derby against Tottenham on February 22nd.<\/p>\n

However, with Arsenal’s form remaining strong in the short term, 12.3% of FPL owners should consider letting Saka go and bringing in his replacement, Noni Madueke. <\/p>\n

Maduke, who was drafted in at short notice at Elland Road, scored 14 goals to end a long wait for a goal in this competition, having been at Chelsea since January 2025.<\/p>\n

However, the 23-year-old looked set to make up for lost time, having been primarily used by manager Mikel Arteta from the start of this season’s cup games, with Saka standing in his way. <\/p>\n

Travel-strapped Sunderland’s visit to the Emirates Stadium felt too good an opportunity to focus solely on Arsenal’s defence, as they took over a set-piece role to suit their open-play threat.<\/p>\n
