FThe power of women today is tremendous. Women’s contributions to society are significant and cannot be denied. They have broken through barriers that once seemed impenetrable and accomplished what their predecessors had fought for for ages.

The onus is on them to continue proving that they are as capable as men in all fields, including sports, as their presence and influence grows each year.

The growth of women’s soccer is remarkable, and it is becoming common for female students to learn the joy of playing the ball from an early age and grow up to become excellent national soccer players. With domestic leagues around the world rapidly expanding and international tournaments following suit, the Women’s World Cup has captured global attention and redefined expectations for quality, competitiveness and spectacle.

One country where this growth is particularly strong is France. There, the sport has reached previously unimaginable levels thanks to the consistently high standards shown on the pitch. The French team has become a global reference point, and the domestic league is one of the benchmarks of European football. In this environment, Olympique de Lyon established itself as one of the most successful and respected clubs on the continent.

French coach’s caveman-like comments about women’s soccer

There are still characters who cannot understand the current direction of the world and who seem to remain stuck in a prehistoric way of thinking. The same goes for former AJ Auxerre manager Guy Roux, who is openly opposed to the advancement of women in sport.

In a recent interview with the magazine L’Est clair, Roux expressed clear displeasure with women’s football and its progress over the years, making remarks that immediately sparked widespread criticism.

Women are designed to give birth and have wider hips. And soccer isn’t made for people with wide hips. I have a lot of respect for young women who play the sport they love. ”… “If you ask me if the women’s game is spectacular, I think of First Division games played in front of 800 people.

Guy Lou

The story of Guy Roux’s unfortunate remark

This is not the first time Mr. Gui Lu has made such comments. He has repeatedly been embroiled in controversy in the past for similar statements that many consider offensive and outdated.

Why not make a bold comparison? It’s like a women’s soccer match.

Guy Lou

He made this comment at a memorial service held in honor of Djibril Sis some time ago, and it once again attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.

More controversy surrounding women playing soccer in France. This time it was Diego Bravo.

Lu is not the only person who has made terrible comments about women in soccer. BeIN Sports commentator Daniel Bravo also made a comment related to women and sports, although he didn’t say it properly.

During the match between Paris FC and Olympique de Marseille, Bravo made a comment about Gatane Tinay that was widely criticized for its absurdity and was suspended.

She doesn’t pay much attention. She must be talking about lingerie…

Diego Bravo

Sometimes it seems that there are still people coexisting in society who believe that women exist only to give birth and serve men. The world has changed for the better. That progress is largely due to the contributions of countless women who dreamed of equality and turned that vision into reality.
