LIVERPOOL, England (AP) – Liverpool’s defensive worries increased on Friday when right-back Jeremy Frimpong was ruled out for several weeks with a muscular injury.<\/p>\n

The Dutch international, who has dealt with a number of injuries in his first season at Anfield, returned early in Liverpool’s 6-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday. Midfielder Wataru Endo joined in his place.<\/p>\n

“He’s going to be out for a few weeks, but it’s not as bad as we expected him to be out,” manager Arne Slott said of Frimpong, who was signed in the offseason and was expected to be out for an extended period of time. Replacement of Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/span>.<\/p>\n
