Liverpool and Manchester United have different fortunes regarding their ranking in the Deloitte Football Money League<\/h2>\n

Liverpool made economic history by qualifying for the Deloitte Football Money League, while Manchester United dropped dramatically down the table. At the 29th Money League, the top 20 highest-earning football clubs for the 2024\/25 season have been announced by Deloitte Sports Business Group.<\/p>\n
Each club made collective history by generating record revenues of \u00a310.4bn (\u20ac12bn) for the first time. This huge figure represents an 11% increase across all three main sources of income – commercial, matchday and broadcasting – on last season.<\/p>\n
The top four spots were dominated by several European football powers, with Real Madrid retaining their spot with nearly \u00a31 billion (\u20ac1.2 billion) in the table. The Spanish giants were closely followed by Barcelona with \u00a3849m (\u20ac975m), while Bayern Munich rounded out the top three with \u00a3750m (\u20ac861m).<\/p>\n
Paris Saint-Germain are the only Ligue 1 club on the entire list, ranking fourth with revenue of \u00a3729m (\u20ac837m) last year. Next up are the reigning Premier League champions, with Liverpool following last year’s historic title-winning campaign, earning \u00a3728m (\u20ac836m) and becoming England’s highest-earning club for the first time.<\/p>\n

The 2024\/25 season was a financially fruitful season for the Reds. The return to the UEFA Champions League also helped boost revenue. The club also saw a 7% increase in commercial income due to the addition of non-match events at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Bruce Springsteen, Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey and more performed at Anfield, bringing the music to life at the iconic stadium. Liverpool’s financial success fell short of the Red Devils, who suffered a significant fall from fourth to eighth in the Money League after a historically poor season last season.<\/p>\n
United’s revenue peaked at \u00a3691m (\u20ac793m) last year, but broadcasting revenue fell from \u00a3224m (\u20ac258m) to \u00a3179m (\u20ac206m) as they finished 15th in the Premier League, the club’s worst domestic campaign in 35 years and missed out on European football altogether.<\/p>\n

The list was dominated by English clubs, with the top nine teams making the list. Liverpool was followed by Manchester City, whose revenue fell to \u00a3722m (\u20ac829m), dropping four places to sixth.<\/p>\n
Josep Guardiola’s side suffered an unusually early exit from the Champions League and were eliminated in the knock-off play-offs, but finished third domestically, their lowest position since the Spaniard arrived 10 years ago.<\/p>\n
Four Premier League clubs were ranked seventh to 10th, with Arsenal’s income of \u00a3722m (approximately \u20ac821m) a close second. Following United are Tottenham Hotspur, who are in ninth place with \u00a3585m (\u20ac672m) despite finishing 17th, but ended a 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League.<\/p>\n

City rivals Chelsea maintained their 10th place thanks to their return to the Champions League, while also winning the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup. The Blues’ silverware collection contributed to 24\/25 revenues of \u00a3509m (\u20ac584m).<\/p>\n
Aston Villa have moved up four places from last year to sit 14th in the table after reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2024\/25, with revenue reaching a peak of \u00a3392m (\u20ac450m).<\/p>\n
Newcastle’s Carabao Cup final victory last season didn’t completely fill their wallets, but the Magpies still secure a place in the Money League list, although they have dropped two places from last year. The club’s revenue was just \u00a3346m (\u20ac398m).<\/p>\n
