NEW YORK, Switzerland (AP) \u2014 Barcelona received the biggest payout from a 9 million euro (about $10.5 million) fund that rewards the 103 clubs that select players. 2025 Women’s European Championship<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Barcelona earned 567,000 euros (about $664,000), which was paid in the form of a daily wage of 1,095 euros (about $1,280), as long as the player took part in the 16 Nations tournament in Switzerland in July.<\/p>\n

Spanish stars Aitana Bommati and Alexia Putelas led the 10 players from the three-time Women’s Champions League finalists team, as well as England’s Kiera Walsh, who won the title. Barcelona also had Norway’s Caroline Graham Hansen, Poland’s Eva Pahor and Switzerland’s Sydney Schertenleib.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich was next for 465,000 euros ($545,000), including seven games in prize money. Germany semi-finalists<\/span>England’s Georgia Stanway and Denmark captain Panneer Harder.<\/p>\n

Chelsea received 462,000 euros (about $541,000), while Juventus, which made up the majority of Italy’s semi-finalists, received 415,000 euros (about $486,000) from UEFA.<\/p>\n

A total of 2.37 million euros (about $278 million) went to English clubs, 1.4 million euros (about $1.64 million) to German clubs, and more than 1.3 million euros (about 152 million yen) went to Italy.<\/p>\n

The Spanish clubs collectively earned 1.16 million euros ($1.36 million), with Barcelona receiving more than half of that.<\/p>\n
