In his words, Ramos thanked all the support he received and also admitted that he did not achieve his goal of winning as a Rayados player.<\/p>\n

My experience in Mexico is over and today I say goodbye to Monterrey. It was a few days that I felt a little nostalgic. Because we came in with great enthusiasm and were eager to succeed. It wasn’t meant to be, and I didn’t achieve my goal, but I had a great experience in a fascinating country, people who treated me wonderfully, a club that I think has great prospects for the future, and as life goes on, I wanted to thank the whole country for the love and respect they showed me in every detail.<\/p>\n

And most of all, I would also like to thank my fans, who have made me feel supported and loved since the first day I arrived, for being with me and shielding me with your passion. I always wish you good luck and thank you Mexico. Long live Mexico!<\/p>\n

Why doesn’t Sergio Ramos stay at CF Monterrey?<\/h2>\n

According to sporting director Jose Antonio Noriega, there were negotiations between the two sides, but they did not go well, as Sergio Ramos made it clear in his first words after the loss to Toluca that this was his last match in Mexico.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the Spanish defender wanted a one-year contract, while the CF Monterrey board only offered six months, which would have been the main difference in the negotiations.<\/p>\n

What’s next for Sergio Ramos?<\/h2>\n

He has been linked with MLS for a year, specifically San Diego FC and Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, but a return to Europe is also an option.<\/p>\n

Cadena SER recently reported that Manchester United are interested in Ramos joining the Old Trafford club this winter.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid, Juventus and other European clubs have also been named. Certainly the future of the former Rayados player will be decided in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
