The winner was determined by a system that gives equal weight to fan votes. Current captain and coach of the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s national teams. And media personnel too. Fans also voted in the &#8220;The Best FIFA Women&#8217;s XI&#8221; and &#8220;The Best FIFA Men&#8217;s XI&#8221; categories.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, fan votes and the votes of the FIFA Legends Committee were given equal weight when determining the winners of the FIFA Malta Award and the FIFA Puskas Award (for the best goal in both women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s football).
