Mosquera’s own goal in the second half puts Arsenal five points behind.<\/p>\n

Arsenal needed two own goals, including one in stoppage time, to beat unbeaten Wolves 2-1 at the Emirates and move five points clear in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The Gunners entered the game as heavy favorites, with several key players returning from injury or illness to strengthen the team.<\/p>\n

However, Wolves did better than most expected against a team with just two points, as they limited Arsenal’s tenacious defense to half-chances and set-pieces for most of the first half.<\/p>\n

It was a frustrating first half for Arsenal, but the biggest blow was probably Ben White’s injury. He injured his hamstring after 30 minutes while chasing Hwang Hee-chan.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta made his substitution at the start of the second period and began testing Sam Johnstone, who only made his first save in the 66th minute.<\/p>\n

But with 20 minutes left, Bukayo Saka’s inswinging corner kick bounced off the far post and hit Johnstone on the back, giving the Gunners a breakthrough.<\/p>\n

Wolves may have been disappointed with the unfortunate goal, but they dominated the ball even more as the game entered stoppage time, with Tolu Alokodare flicking substitute Matheus Mane’s cross past David Raya for a shocking equalizer.<\/p>\n

Just when Rob Edwards thought he had secured his first point as Wolves manager, Mosquera’s final touch from Saka’s late cross broke the hearts of the visitors.<\/p>\n

The win leaves Arsenal five points clear at the top of the table, but both Manchester City and Aston Villa could close the gap on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Wolves remain 13 points from safety and are in serious danger of breaking Derby County’s record for the fewest points won in a Premier League season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
