He was named Player of the Year for the third time last season, scoring 34 goals in all competitions and helping Liverpool win a record-equalling 20th league title. <\/p>\n

“This is not the first or last time a player who is not playing will say something similar to what he did,” Slott said Monday. “But my reaction to that is clear, and that’s why he’s not here tonight.”<\/p>\n
Salah is scheduled to head to the African Cup of Nations next week. He said he didn’t know what would happen while he was gone. <\/p>\n
