Mohamed Salah, who was on the bench for Liverpool, went on a rant after the 3-3 draw with Leeds United, claiming he had been “thrown under the bus”.

“It’s very, very disappointing. I’ve done a lot for this club in the past, especially last season,” Salah said.

“Right now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why. I feel like the club threw me under the bus. That’s how I feel. I think it’s clear that someone was trying to put all the blame on me.”

“I got a lot of promises in the summer and I’ve been on the bench for three games so far, so I can’t say they’re keeping their promises. I’ve said many times that I’ve had a good relationship with the manager, but suddenly it’s gone. I don’t know why, but from my point of view it seems like someone doesn’t want me at the club.”

“This club, I always support it. My kids will always support it. I love this club, so I will always support it. I called my mom yesterday. You guys didn’t know if I was going to start, but I did.”

“Yesterday I said[to my parents]’Come to the Brighton game.’ I don’t know if I’m going to play or not, but I’m going to enjoy it. In my head, I’m going to enjoy the game because I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m going to say goodbye to the fans at Anfield and go to the Africa Cup. You never know what’s going to happen when you’re there.”
