Max Daumann scored a stunning solo goal as Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League, leaving fans in awe of his achievement.

The teenage sensation, who was rated by the first team this year, scored twice in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Bayern Munich’s under-19s ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash between the senior heavyweights.

Dauman’s second goal, which decided the match, came from the final kick of the game and is already making headlines. Picking up the ball on the right, he breezed past two players, then used Maradona’s spin to evade a third defender and finish with a stunning chip shot past the goalkeeper.

The Arsenal ace has impressed the likes of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard in pre-season and training and is likely to rise to the top, with fan excitement continuing to grow.

On social media, one person posted: “What did he do to get over that second guy!? Oh my god! Messi was never this talented at 15!!!” Another claimed: “He’s a complete joke.” A third added: “This kid is going straight to the top.”

Il Gashi put Bayern ahead in the first half, but Daumann equalized just before half-time to put Bayern ahead for good. Arsenal quickly took a 3-1 lead with goals from Kylan Thompson and Seadutch O’Neill, but a goal from Ljubo Pulzic ended the game in a tense fashion. However, Dauman had the final say.

At 15, Dowman is already the youngest player in Champions League history and has also represented England at Under-19 level. He has agreed to sign scholarship terms with Arsenal next summer and will be able to sign a professional contract next December.

Mikel Arteta claimed Dauman’s temperament was something that could not be taught, with the courage evident every time he took to the pitch. He has already played at Anfield and the Spanish head coach is very impressed with his mentality.

he said earlier this month. “What he did on the pitch – he comes in, he plays people on the first ball, he starts dribbling and gets fouled. That’s character, that’s courage – and you can’t teach that. It doesn’t matter whether you have it or not. And it doesn’t matter what his passport says. If you throw him in this situation, he can adapt and perform well.”
