Gabriel Jesus has been plagued by injuries for several years at Arsenal, but the Brazilian striker has revealed where his future lies after falling down the table in north London.<\/h2>\n

Gabriel Jesus has revealed his desire to return to his former club Palmeiras, but a move away from Arsenal is not yet on the cards. The Brazilian forward moved to the Emirates Stadium from Manchester City in 2022.<\/p>\n
The Gunners paid \u00a345m to sign Jesus, but a long-term injury meant he only made 96 appearances and scored 26 goals.<\/p>\n
Jesus has been regularly linked with a move away from Arsenal, with Everton attracting attention recently, but Arsenal are likely to reject any attempts to sign Jesus from their Premier League rivals.<\/p>\n
Jesus, 28, has spoken about his future, insisting he would like to return to his former club Palmeiras, but only when the time is right. The player said: “I have not had any contact with other clubs. As I say, my wish is to return to Palmeiras and Palmeiras’ wish is for me to return to Palmeiras.”<\/p>\n

“If I feel it is time to return to Palmeiras, I will decide in consultation with Arsenal, but we are talking about a player who has been out for nine months and is now fighting to get back into the team. And there are journalists who are talking about it without any basis.”<\/p>\n
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shared his stance on Jesus’ future, making it clear he wants to keep him. “(He’s) a very unpredictable, energetic, very competitive player who comes from a situation where the last few seasons have been difficult with various bad injuries.<\/p>\n
“So the level of hunger and desire he brings to the team is going to be amazing.<\/p>\n

“So I’m excited to get him. I think he’ll add something to the team that we don’t have and I think you’ll see him make an impact on the field right away.”<\/p>\n
“We didn’t have them (all fit) and now we don’t have Victor, we don’t have Kai for three months, we don’t have a lot of forwards. Unfortunately, that’s what happens consistently. So we need those options and what an option to have with Gabi.”<\/p>\n
Jesus began his professional career with Palmeiras in Brazil, making 83 appearances and scoring 28 goals before moving to Man City for \u00a327 million. The forward scored 95 goals in 236 appearances in all competitions, helping City win four Premier League titles, the FA Cup and three Carabao Cups.<\/p>\n
