MONACO (AP) \u2014 A Monaco supporter has claimed a world record for the largest collection of original jerseys for a single soccer club.<\/p>\n

Julien Boulon recently presented a stunning collection of AS Monaco shirts at the Riviera Club. It contains 1,146 items and features items worn by Kylian Mbapp\u00e9, Thierry Henry, Manuel Amoros, Radamel Falcao, David Trezeguet and the club’s all-time top scorer Delio Onis.<\/p>\n

According to Monaco, official bailiffs attended the exhibition and confirmed the number of jerseys, 1,146, which surpassed the previous world record held by a Liverpool supporter in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Bron, who is from France’s Burgundy region, said his passion for Monaco began 25 years ago when he attended his first match, Monaco vs. Auxerre.<\/p>\n

“That was the year Monaco won their seventh French title,” he recalled in this week’s article. interview<\/span> on the club’s website. “That day I fell in love…not with AJ Auxerre, but with AS Monaco. From then on, I never stopped following the club.”<\/p>\n

His collection began when former Monaco player Lucas Bernardi gave him a match-worn jersey from the 2006-07 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince then, I have become interested in the jerseys that players wear,\u201d Boulon said. “Now this is a very time-consuming task. I’m always looking for rare gemstones and I’m already very proud to own all of these.”<\/p>\n

The oldest shirt in his collection dates back to the 1950s and was worn by Monaco defender Fran\u00e7ois Ruud, who played one game for France.<\/p>\n
