Sesco came on as a substitute in the 58th minute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but left the pitch less than 30 minutes later after receiving treatment for a knee injury.<\/p>\n<p>Amorim had already used all his substitutes, leaving United with just 10 men on the field by the end of the game. In the post-match press conference after the 2-2 draw, Amorim answered a question regarding the striker&#8217;s injury. &#8220;I need to check. He had something on his knee. Let&#8217;s see,&#8221; he said. Asked about the severity of the injury, Amorim admitted: &#8220;I don&#8217;t know. We will never know because it&#8217;s my knee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Amorim dismissed the idea that a lack of confidence was the reason for Sesco&#8217;s late mistake that put United 2-0 up despite failing to score on the pitch. He said: \u201cNo, I don&#8217;t think&#8230;I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s the biggest concern right now.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s the same thing where he hasn&#8217;t scored a goal and then he scores two goals in the next two games (Brentford and Sunderland). That happens especially with strikers. I&#8217;m more concerned about injuries, because it&#8217;s a knee injury but you never know. We need Ben to be a better team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amorim confirmed the club could be active in the January transfer window, with Brian Mbeumo, Amad and Nouseir Mazraoui set to depart for the African Cup of Nations in December.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Amorim admitted that the severity of Sesco&#8217;s knee injury could affect their plans. &#8220;We have to check everything and we have to check what happened to Ben,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Of course there will be problems there (AFCON), but we already knew. We can prepare for it in the summer, but it&#8217;s one game a week and there are a lot of players who won&#8217;t play in the summer. So it will be difficult to manage that situation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But let&#8217;s see if we can improve the team and prepare for what happened when the window opens.
