Manchester United continue to make progress under manager Ruben Amorim. Texts that people didn’t expect to read. The article had remained unwritten since Mr. Amorim took charge almost 12 months ago.<\/p>\n
Until now. Three wins on the spin gave United confidence and momentum. But one player in particular could define a team’s entire season.<\/p>\n
Not to mention the future of Amorim. The impact of United’s recent win at Liverpool on Amorim and his team is enormous.<\/p>\n
It gave Amorim the belief that there was a real solution to his management madness. Not to mention making the players believe in both him and themselves.<\/p>\n
That they can take on and defeat the best teams. And no one epitomizes United’s resurgence more than Matheus Cunha and Brian Mbeumo.<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Amad Diallo and Matthijs de Ligt all had outstanding performances. But Cunha and Mbeumo added real brilliance and a new dimension to United’s attacking play.<\/p>\n
These two are definitely talented soccer players. But what sets them apart most is their willingness to embrace the challenge of playing for a club like United. Not so with certain individuals these days.<\/p>\n
And for some managers coming and going at Old Trafford, the challenge proved too much.<\/p>\n

But Cunha and Mbeumo are undaunted by the pressure and are relishing it. They both want the ball. They want to express themselves. They are not afraid to try different things.<\/p>\n
United were a brave team under the direction of the great Sir Alex Ferguson. A team that doesn’t know when it will lose, or has given up hope of winning.<\/p>\n
And the attitude that Mbeumo and Cunha have brought to the current United team is reminiscent of those hectic days of the 1990s and 2000s. Rome wasn’t built in a day. And neither is a title-winning soccer team.<\/p>\n
But United finally seem to be on the right track, as Amorim now has two fearless footballers who have given the team a real identity.<\/p>\n
