LIVERPOOL, England (AP) \u2014 Alexander Isak is doubtful for Liverpool’s Premier League game at Brentford on Saturday after taking the field. groin injury<\/span> This week they will face Eintracht Frankfurt. <\/p>\n

Sweden representative \u2014 british records<\/span> He was released from his contract at half-time of Liverpool’s 5-1 Champions League win on Wednesday, but Liverpool manager Arne Slott suggested it was not a serious injury. <\/p>\n

“Alex is not too bad. There is a question mark for the weekend. Let’s see how he is,” Slott said Friday. <\/p>\n

Midfielder Ryan Grabenbirch also missed the game against Frankfurt due to an unknown injury, and Jeremy Frimpong is also out with a hamstring injury, so this possibility is also suspected. <\/p>\n

\u201cJeremy is not in a good situation,\u201d Slott added. “He definitely won’t play today, tomorrow or next week. He has a hamstring injury so it’s going to take a while.”<\/p>\n

Isak has had a slow start since arriving from Newcastle for $170 million in the off-season, scoring just one goal in 11 games for club and country. <\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah has also been in poor form and has not scored in his last six games for Liverpool, but Slott said he was confident the Egyptian international would score. <\/p>\n

“My biggest concern is that Mo is starting to score goals again, because that’s what he’s been doing all his life and I expect him to do that in the coming weeks and months for our club,” Slott said. <\/p>\n
