According to the police version, at 23:14 on Saturday, September 6, officers were called to a report of a threat with a firearm at Cockfosters Parade, Barnet. During the investigation, testimony was also collected from another young man who was allegedly the victim of threats and attempted extortion by the same person. The suspect was arrested on September 8 on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear, extortion, and driving without a license.
Various British media outlets have suggested that the conflict may be related to Udogie’s decision not to work with the agent in question.
Tottenham stance and sporting situation
Tottenham have expressed their support for Oudogie and his family and declined to comment further as this is an ongoing legal matter. Despite this episode, the full-back continues to compete with Spurs, including in this week’s European game against Copenhagen (4-0).
