Christian Pulisic’s transfer wish could make Chelsea’s life

Late last night, news of two bids for Christian Pulisic emerged.

One came from Lyon, the other from AC Milan. David Ornstein reported on both, saying that the Italian side were offering just €12m while Lyon had offered double that. Both clubs have American ownership and look keen to bring in their country’s captain for a bit of representation.

If that’s true, it’s a no brainer from Chelsea’s point of view. They’re not bothered where the winger goes, they just want the most cash possible.

Nizaar Kinsella’s piece in the Evening Standard today however claims that Pulisic “favours a move to Milan,” but why would Chelsea accept something in the region of half the money just to keep him happy?

The USA star will have to hope that his Italian suitors decide to stump up a little more generously if he’s ever going to get the green light to go there.
