Chelsea have just spent another £300m on new players in the winter transfer market, after spending big in the summer as well.
But this will not stop them spending big again in the summer of 2023, according to a report this week.
The new owners are rebuilding the squad and there are still some positions they want to sign in to complete the overhaul.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea do not intend to sign another raft of players in the summer but are prepared to spend big again in a few key positions. One of those will be another forward.
The article is centered around Joao Felix, who of course is only on loan with no option to buy. So if they want to keep him this summer and going forward, then he is one of those players that they might have to spend big on.

You’d assume another midfielder might be targeted as well.
