FIFA announced their 2023 nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Player this week, with Arsenal’s Declan Rice making the list.
Rice is joined by Manchester City stars Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva, as well as Ilkay Gundogan (former of City, now of Barcelona).
The other nominees are Marcelo Brozovic (Inter Milan, Al Nassr), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Napoli), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Lionel Messi (PSG, Inter Miami), and Victor Osimhen (Napoli).

Rice has made a strong start to life with Arsenal, impressing in all of his early fixtures and scoring a vital goal against Manchester United in his last fixture.
The midfielder won the Arsenal fan Player of the Month award for August, and he’s also a nailed-on starter for England over the international breaks.
But there’s no denying Rice’s nomination is primarily to do with the fact he led West Ham United to the Europa Conference League trophy earlier in the year.
The midfielder captained the relegation-threatened side to a rare trophy, very much earning his individual plaudits.

You can vote for Rice here, with voting open until midnight CET on Friday, October 6th.
